If you said yes, you’re not alone—73% of the UK workforce agrees according to one report. But not everyone in the community could believe this statistic.
The four day workweek is becoming a global trend, with trials showing boosted productivity, improved mental health, and happier employees.
Countries like the UK, Japan, and even tech giants like Microsoft have already experimented with this model—without slashing pay.
But while some businesses are embracing the shift, others argue that reducing hours means either lower pay or higher workloads. Some employees worry that squeezing five days of work into four could lead to burnout instead of balance.
